Silvia Mittermuller

When it comes to female snowboarding, Sillie is pushing the scene both in Europe and the States. Taking her snowboarding serious, she trains harder than most, without losing her fun attitude. Calling Breckenridge her second home, she still stays true to her Bavarian roots and can be seen on her local mountains trying new tricks, filming or just riding powder and park for the fun of it.

What is the wildest place you have ever been?
Hard decision. Maybe GAP-1328 Summer Camp parties? Unfortunately there’s no more GAP Summer Camp, but those parties were some of the loudest, stinkiest, dirtiest, sweatiest, funniest and most out of control parties of my life! Gap R.I.P. Other than that I once traveled 3 weeks all through Morocco by local public transport. I’d call that a pretty wild place too.
Style: who has it?
Anybody who makes things look really easy.
NCW? Tell us whatever you want about the film?
Damn I wanted to film with everybody and be in it. Why are there injuries in snowboarding?
Best story of another team rider?
Marie told me she once was an exhibitionist in a carnival, she wore some piece of cloth that she drew boobs and pubic hair on and Will was a pumpkin. This isn’t necessarily the best story, but it just came to my head and made me laugh.
When you’re not shredding you’re doing what?
Lots of sports, playing chess, music, thinking, traveling, dancing, sleeping, computing, diary writing, reading, still boycotting Myspace and Facebook and sometimes wondering how to change the world.
What do you want to be doing in ten years?
Happy, healthy, alive and still doing what I want to do!
