Will Lavigne

Silent but deadly is a good way to sum him up. He does not say a whole lot most of the time. Just over a year ago he barely spoke a word of English. But this has never stopped him from expressing himself with his board. Even though Will always puts down some of the gnarliest rail tricks with perfect style, he will tell you he’d rather hit jumps and doesn’t think of himself as a rail kid. Will is one of the most talented raw snowboarders in the scene today and if you catch him on the right night you might even get to meet the smooth talking Willie Love.

What is the wildest place you have ever been?

LNP's room in Whistler. I went to Whistler for a week and he let me sleep in his room. You have to go up a ladder to get in, there is a hole 3 feet high to get in, there's no door and when you're in, you can't stand up because you’ll hit your head on the ceiling. There were LNPs Halloween costumes all over the place, rot on the walls, it was cold, it stunk. And I stayed there for a week.

Style: who has it?

For me, style is when a person doesn't sketch tricks. When it looks easy to do and when it's clean. Louif Paradis and Torstein Horgmo have it.

Best story of another team rider?

First time I jumped with Eiki. It was one of those jumps with a steep run-in with a little bit of bumps in it. Eiki went first and he landed first try, he got back and told me, “All right I'm going to try something really hard.” I was like, “Uhh....all right go for it.” He went down the bumpy run-in super fast and then I saw him do a double back rodeo and he disappeared. Everyone started screaming as loud as they could. He got it second try.

When you’re not shredding you’re doing what?

Most of the time I skate. When I'm not skateboarding I like to hang out with friends, play golf, tennis and fishing is pretty cool.

What do you want to be doing in ten years?
